Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Epson Perfection V750-M Pro Color ScannerCustomer Review: When I finally get it working, it will probably be wonderful -- BUT! Summary: 1 StarsI'm sure this is a wonderful product. HOWEVER there are NO instructions for adjusting the height of the film holders. "Adjusters" are supplied, but not even described. There is not even a suggestion on what size or type Mylar cover is required to hold film in place, or information on the oil requred (both must be purchased separately). They don't even mention that you will also need a cleaner to remove oil from the film. In short, if you buy this and manage to get it working, please drop me a note and tell me how you did it. My previous Epson 4990 is great. This model is a disaster of misinformation.
Customer Review: Disappointing Summary: 1 StarsAnother oversold product from Epson. Actual resolution is closer to 1200 dpi. Skip this and buy a real film scanner if quality matters at all to you.
Customer Review: Nice scans and features Summary: 5 StarsThis product has completely met my expectations so far. (I have not yet attempted any wet mounting, however.) I also considered the Epson V700 flatbed scanner, but in retrospect, I am glad that I got this model largely because of the excellent Silverfast software included in the package. If one already has the full Silverfast program, he or she might consider the less expensive Epson. Overall, I'm pleased.
Customer Review: Great Scanner Summary: 5 StarsDoes a fantastic job with 35mm slides.
I especially like the full version of Silverfast that came with the scanner.
I would recommend this scanner to any professional or high end ametuer.

Customer Review: Hubba, Hubba, Hubba Summary: 5 StarsIt was destiny! I got 2 of my regular magazines within a week of each other and they both profiled this scanner. I read it with great interest and though I had a Nikon Coolscan IV, I wasn't prepared to trade-up. Less than a month later, I came into some money and decided to go ahead and make the purchase. I got this one, sold my Nikon and have been loving it ever since.
I do find that the Epson software is better than the Silverfast software (it comes with both). Once you do a preview, you adjust the settings for each frame you want to scan. Once that is done, hit the scan button and walk away. It does a GREAT JOB and also allows you to do up to 4 negative strips at one time. A great time saver.
HIGHLY SUGGESTED.
