Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of EPSON EX7200 Multimedia Projector (V11H367120)Customer Review: Text is fuzzy Summary: 3 Stars
This is the first online review I have ever done for any product, so excuse me if I make a few blunders. I purchased this projector just before the end of the year and received it 3 days ago. Setup was very easy and the menu to make any desired adjustments was just as simple. I viewed a number of different types of items being fed from my laptop, but, no matter what I tried, text was still fuzzy. I also tried both USB and HDMI (which I had to buy a cord for) connections with the same results. It was not so bad that it could not be read, but still a bit off. I contacted Epson using their Private Line support card enclosed with the projector, and, after going though some basic questions and trying a couple of things to verify that text was fuzzy right down to the menu projected on the wall, they agreed to ship me a new projector with next day delivery. I really was counting on all of the rave reviews I had read before the purchase on how sharp ALL of the detail was on this projector, but we shall see what the second one is like.
The sound coming from the projector speaker on this unit is not the greatest, and sound does not come from the projector if only a USB connection is used. There is no audio output connection on the projector, so if I want better sound than what my laptop puts out for presentations, I will have to purchase speakers to attach to my laptop to cover a larger area while projecting for presentations.
I also purchased the 80 inch Duet screen along with the projector. It is pretty heavy, but understandable for such a wide screen. Setting it up is a breeze. The top and bottom edges curl over a bit even at the maximum width, but maybe that will get better after it has been in the open position a number of times.
All in all, if I can get the text to read correctly, it seems like it will be a great unit!
